Key properties

Key properties
Shore hardness 60A-95A (print grades ~85-95A)
Very high elasticity and tear strength
Excellent abrasion resistance
Flexible to about -30 to -40°C
Oil and grease resistant
Good damping / shock absorption

Common applications

  • Seals and gaskets
  • Bumpers, dampers and shock mounts
  • Flexible tubing and connectors
  • Protective covers and phone cases
  • Vibration-isolation mounts
  • Industrial rollers and wheels

Processes available

  • FDM 3D printing (flexible filament)
  • Injection molding
  • CNC machining of harder grades

Surface finishes

  • As printed / as molded
  • Textured
  • Painted (with adhesion primer)

Cost & pricing

Moderate cost — more than rigid plastics, but far cheaper than custom rubber tooling for low volumes.

Tolerance: FDM ±0.3-0.5mm (flexible parts distort); injection molding ±0.1-0.15mm.

Frequently asked questions

TPU or silicone for my part?
TPU for abrasion, tear strength and printability; silicone for higher temperature, softer feel and medical-grade needs.
How do I choose Shore hardness?
Start at 90A for tough functional parts and drop toward 60-80A when softness and flexibility matter more.

Frequently asked questions

How long does production take?

Lead time depends on the process and quantity — 3D printing typically ships in 2–3 business days, CNC machining in 3–5, and injection molding in 10–15 after tooling. You'll see the exact lead time on every quote.

What is the standard tolerance?

CNC-machined parts are held to ±0.1 mm as standard, with ±0.05 mm achievable on critical features. 3D-printed parts are typically ±0.2–0.3 mm. Add your critical dimensions in the notes field.

What is the minimum order quantity?

There is no minimum order — we produce single prototype parts as easily as large production runs. Quantity discounts start from around 10–25 pieces.

What surface finishes are available?

A wide range of finishes is available locally, including as-machined/printed, bead blasting, anodizing (clear, black, gold), powder coating, painting and polishing.
