Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 November 2026

These Terms govern your use of volufab.com and the on-demand industrial FDM 3D-printing quotation and manufacturing services offered through it (the "Services"). By creating an account, uploading a design file, requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. VoluFab is a trading name of Shandong Yinglong Zhilian Additive Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. (山东英龙智联增材技术有限公司), Unified Social Credit Code 91370282MAG0690J9U, registered in Shandong, China (the "Company"). The Company is the legal entity that contracts with you. "We", "us" and "our" refer to the Company.

1. Scope of Services

VoluFab provides a platform for uploading CAD/STL files, obtaining indicative quotation estimates, design-for-manufacturing (DFM) review, and ordering custom FDM-printed parts. Available materials, build volumes and lead times are described on the site and confirmed in your order confirmation. We do not provide design certification, engineering approval, or verification that a part is fit for any regulated, medical or safety-critical application.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind the entity on whose behalf you use the Services. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, current and complete registration, billing and delivery information and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Quotes, DFM Review and Formation of Contract

Instant estimates generated from an uploaded model are indicative only: they are calculated from geometry, material and process assumptions and are not an offer capable of acceptance. We review each request for manufacturability and may revise or withdraw an estimate where the model is not printable, needs different material or tolerances, or contains incomplete information. No contract to manufacture any part exists until we issue a written order confirmation (or pro-forma invoice) stating the final specification, price and lead time and you accept it. Material prices shown on the site before that point are placeholders or estimates and are not binding.

4. Materials, Specifications and Tolerances

Published material properties (density, heat-deflection temperature, tensile strength) come from our supplier datasheets and are provided for guidance; they vary by batch, build orientation and machine. You are solely responsible for reviewing the specification, material, colour and tolerances in your order confirmation before acceptance, and specifications cannot be changed after an order is confirmed. Unless expressly agreed in writing, general dimensional tolerance is +/-0.1 mm or +/-0.1%, whichever is greater. You must confirm that your selected material and design suit the intended use, including temperature, chemical, load and regulatory requirements.

5. Pricing, Taxes and Payment

Automated online card checkout is not currently enabled on this site. Orders are confirmed manually: we issue a pro-forma invoice or order confirmation stating the final price quoted in USD (unless another currency is agreed in writing), applicable taxes, shipping and any duties, together with the accepted payment method. Production begins only after payment is received in accordance with that document. Prices exclude import duties, customs charges and local taxes unless stated otherwise. Our USD material price list is being finalised: any price shown on the site is a placeholder, is not a binding quotation, and will not be charged. Firm prices are issued manually in your order confirmation.

6. Cancellation and Changes

Because every part is custom-manufactured to your specification, an order cannot be cancelled or modified once production has started. If you request a change or cancellation before production begins, we will use reasonable efforts to accommodate it and may charge for design, setup or material already committed. We may cancel an order before dispatch where a technical, legal, export-control or intellectual-property concern arises; in that case we refund all amounts paid for the cancelled part.

7. Production, Delivery and Risk

Lead times stated in the order confirmation are estimates and begin after payment and final DFM approval. Delivery dates are not of the essence. Risk of loss passes on dispatch to the carrier; title passes on full payment. You are responsible for providing a deliverable address and for customs clearance. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, force majeure or incomplete information supplied by you.

8. Quality, Inspection and Remedies

Inspect parts on receipt. Notify us in writing within 7 days of delivery of any non-conformity with the confirmed specification, with photographs and a description; otherwise the parts are deemed accepted. For a verified non-conformity caused by our production, our sole obligation - and your exclusive remedy - is, at our option, to reprint the part, repair it, or refund the price paid for the affected part. We are not responsible for defects arising from your design, file errors, material choice, post-processing, assembly or use beyond the stated material properties.

9. Your Design Files: Ownership and Confidentiality

You retain all intellectual-property rights in the CAD/STL files, drawings and specifications you upload, and you warrant that you own them or hold the necessary rights and that they do not infringe any third party. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to store, reproduce and use those files solely to prepare quotes, manufacture and deliver your parts, and provide support. We do not sell, publish, reuse for other customers, or use your design files to train models. We disclose them only to personnel and vetted production partners bound by equivalent confidentiality duties, or where required by law.

10. Prohibited Uses, Export Control and Sanctions

You may not use the Services to produce parts intended for weapons or weapon components, unlawful surveillance, circumvention of safety devices, or any item whose manufacture, export or possession is prohibited by applicable law. You are responsible for compliance with all export-control, sanctions, customs and end-use restrictions in the countries of origin, transit and destination, and you warrant that you are not a sanctioned party. We may refuse or cancel any order that we reasonably believe breaches this section.

11. Warranty Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Except as expressly stated in section 8, the Services and parts are provided "as is" and all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profit, production downtime or loss of data, and its aggregate liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

12. Governing Law, Disputes and Changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules; the courts of the Company's registered domicile in Shandong, China have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Before formal proceedings, both parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by written negotiation for 30 days. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date; the version in force when your order is confirmed governs that order. Questions: hello@volufab.com.
