This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected when you visit volufab.com, request a quote, upload a design file or order custom-manufactured parts. VoluFab is a trading name of Shandong Yinglong Zhilian Additive Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. (山东英龙智联增材技术有限公司), Unified Social Credit Code 91370282MAG0690J9U, a company registered in Shandong, China (the "Company"). The Company is the data controller and the legal entity that contracts with you. We apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR and California CCPA/CPRA where they apply.

1. Who We Are and Scope

This policy covers website visitors, account holders, quote requesters and customers of volufab.com, and applies to personal data processed through the site, our quoting tools, order handling and support channels. It does not cover third-party websites linked from our site. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@volufab.com.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: name, email, company and authentication identifiers managed by our identity provider. Design and project data: CAD/STL files, drawings, specifications, material choices and DFM notes you upload. Order data: billing and shipping address, contact details, quotes, invoices, payment status and order history. Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages visited and cookies. Communications: support messages and correspondence. We do not intentionally collect special-category data such as health, biometric or religious information, and we do not collect payment-card numbers ourselves.

3. Why We Process Data and Legal Bases

We use data to prepare quotes and run DFM checks, manufacture and deliver parts, manage accounts and orders, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, keep accounting records and improve the site. Under GDPR our legal bases are: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) to perform a quote or order; legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for tax and accounting; legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in security, fraud prevention and service improvement; and consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for optional analytics and marketing, which you may withdraw at any time. We do not sell personal data or use it for automated decisions with legal effect.

4. Design Files and Confidentiality

Uploaded design files are treated as your confidential intellectual property. They are stored in access-controlled object storage and used only to generate quotes, manufacture and deliver your parts, and provide support. Access is limited to authorised personnel and vetted production partners bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not use your design files to train models, publish them, or reuse them for other customers. You may request deletion of your files at any time, subject to the retention rules below.

5. Cookies and Analytics

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect the site; they cannot be switched off. Optional analytics cookies help us understand usage and are set only where you consent through the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via cookie settings or your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking pixels without consent.

6. Sharing and Processors

We share data only where necessary to operate the Services: identity and authentication (Logto), cloud hosting and object storage, database infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing once enabled, and logistics partners for shipping. Each processor acts under a written contract, on our instructions only, and must apply safeguards equivalent to this policy. We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell or rent your personal data.

7. International Transfers

Our infrastructure and service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the EEA. Where a transfer leaves the EEA or UK, we rely on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard, and apply supplementary measures where appropriate. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting hello@volufab.com.

8. Data Retention

Design files are retained while a quote is active and for the period needed to fulfil and support the order, then deleted or anonymised unless you ask us to keep them for repeat orders. Account and order records are kept for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (commonly up to 7 years). Support correspondence is generally kept up to 2 years and analytics data is aggregated or deleted within 26 months. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent. Backups are rotated on a short cycle.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored with access controls, least-privilege permissions and encryption at rest where available. Uploaded files are private by default and require authentication to retrieve. No internet transmission is completely secure; we maintain organisational and technical measures appropriate to the risk and will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal-data breach where the law requires it.

10. Your Rights and Requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. EEA and UK residents may complain to their local supervisory authority; California residents may exercise CCPA/CPRA rights including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell data). Submit requests to hello@volufab.com; we respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

11. Children and Policy Updates

The Services are intended for business and professional users and are not directed at children under 16; we do not knowingly collect their data. We may update this policy as our Services or legal obligations change. The current version is always available at volufab.com/privacy with its "Last updated" date; material changes will be highlighted on the site or notified by email where appropriate.
